AAG Spotlight: Coleman Borthwick (FL, 2026)
August 3, 2024
Prep Baseball is taking the talent to South Beach.
After the successful launch of the inaugural Prep Baseball All-American Game in 2023, the second annual game is coming to Miami on Sept. 14 – and it promises to be bigger and better. One thing won’t change: The All-American Game will still feature the best high school baseball talent in the nation, with the top high school seniors taking on the best junior prospects to see which class reigns supreme.
The classes of 2025 and 2026 will face off on Saturday, Sept. 14 at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Both teams will participate in a workout day at the ballpark on Friday, Sept. 13, as part of a full weekend of activities.
+ OFFICAL #PBAAG24 HOMEPAGE
In the lead-up to the first pitch in Miami, we'll be spotlighting each of the players joining us at the 2024 Prep Baseball All-American Game. Next up, one of the top 2026 graduates in the country, Auburn commit Coleman Borthwick (South Walton, FL, 2026).
Scouting Report
Borthwick, an Auburn recruit, was impossible to miss thanks to a hulking 6-foot-6, 240-pound frame that engulfs the batter’s box. A power-armed right-hander with an explosive, low 90s fastball, it was his right-handed stick that was most dominant in this look. A simple approach with a more direct path led by hands that remained compact to the frame, Borthwick went 7-for-10 on the week and looked the part of a major two-way talent.
