Underclass Trials: Statistical Analysis

The Wisconsin Underclass Trials took place on Wednesday, June 21st at The Rock Complex in Franklin, Wisconsin. The event had nearly 40 prospects from the 2019, 2020, and 2021 classes participate in a pro style workout in front of the PBR Scouting Staff. Today we take a look at the top performers. Jacob Arndt (Oconomowoc) and Riley Garczynski (Marquette) showed off the top power arms, posting the top velocities off the mound (83/80) as well as across the infield (84/83). Tyler Brandenburg (Lake Country Lutheran) boasted some serious strength at the plate, registering the top exit velocity (99) and topped the charts in infield velocity (84).

Antonio Brown (Vernon Hills) bested Ryan Brost (Jefferson) in the 60 yard dash by .01 seconds for the top time of 7.18.
The Class of 2019 dominated fastball velocity at this event, with the exception of Oak Creek's incoming freshman Hunter Johnstone, who recorded the fourth fastest pitch at 79 mph.

Three players were able to break the 90 mph barrier in exit velocity. Brandenburg, as mentioned earlier, showed a considerable amount of strength at the plate.

More familiar names appear here as Arndt, Brandenburg, Garczynski, and Siekierski top the list once again.

Rising sophomore Ian Sheehy (Homestead) notched the top outfield velocity at 79 mph. Sheehy also posted the one of the top exit velocities at the event.
