The 2015 class in Wisconsin boasts a fairly deep class, last year at this time only one junior had made a college commitment, Jeren Kendall to Vanderbilt. This year six juniors have already made Division 1 commitments and all six were members of Team Wisconsin at the Midwest Future Games.
Brendan Meissner and Owen Miller made significant moves at the top of the rankings. Meissner looked very sharp at the Labor Day Challenge as did Owen Miller. Miller continued to swing his hot bat down in Florida at the WWBA Underclass World Championship.
SS Noah Jensen (Tremper, 2015) is the highest ranked new prospect to the Class of 2015 after an impressive showing at the Southern Wisconsin Prospect ID. Jensen has above average feet and arms with advanced actions on the infield and the ability to stick at shortstop at the next level. Paired with Louisville commit Justin Lavey (Tremper, 2016), Kenosha Tremper will have arguably the best double play combo in the state.
Other newcomers to the rankings include Connor Moroder (Pewaukee), Kanyon Fellers (Sun Prairie), Sam Swan (Arrowhead) and Chris Bernatz (Arrowhead) who all made the top fifty. 15 new names found their way onto the list expanding the rankings to 75.
LHP Jack Collins climbed into the top 20 after a strong showing at the Pitchers Showcase and Analysis. Collins topped out at 84 mph with excellent arm side action. Alex Marro also made a leap after converting to the mound. Marro had always been a catcher with advanced arm strength and has now started to apply that arm strength to the mound. We saw Marro top out at 85 mph on the mound with a loose quick arm action at the Labor Day Challenge.
RHP Logan Wonn (Oconomowoc, 2015) also jumped in to the top 20 with impressive outings in October. Wonn was one of the top pitchers in attendance at the Pitchers Showcase and Analysis in Illinois, topping out at 85 mph with well above average feel for all of his pitches.
