Scouting Report
10/19/19
(Jupiter) Siani has done plenty to solidify himself as one of the top left-handed bats in the 2019 draft class. Over the course of two games on Friday and Saturday, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Duke recruit went 4-for-6 with a pair of triples and a no-doubt home run to right field that registered an 103 exit velocity. Siani has a balanced, compact swing and generates advanced bat speed while remaining strong through contact. In addition to his home run on Saturday against the Home Plate Chili Dogs, Siani also tripled to deep right center field. On Friday, he singled to right field (98 exit velocity) and turned on a 91-mph fastball for a triple to right-center (96 exit velocity). He also plays a strong centerfield, getting early reads on balls, and plays the game hard. Siani's older brother, Mike, was a fourth-round draft by the Reds and signed last year.
5/3/18
3-for-4 with a long home run to right on this date. Swings with intent and shows ability to create lift. Polished defender with fluid actions and above average arm strength.
4/7/17
Left-handed hitting Duke commit barreled the baseball to the opposite field in all three trips to the plate, including a double to left-center. Swing is more under control and repeatable than previously seen. Best home-to-1B time of the day was a 4.33 on a ball he smoked at the third baseman. Also showed a solid outfield arm.
