His CH has life and good deception at 73-76 mph. He uses his bottom half well, to go along with a quick arm action toward the plate. Baumgardner's arm and athleticism make him a high follow in the 2020 class for West Virginia.

Eric Illar

On the mound, a RHP who works the zone with three pitches. The delivery is simple, is balanced throughout,

repeats it for the most part. The hands start at his waist and work up with his controlled, high leg raise. The separation is on time, front shoulder is strong and stays in line with target.   The arm action is longer on the back side, works out of a ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 81-82 mph, and was up to 83 mph with good action to the arm side.

Braydon McClungBraydon McClung, Logan HS, Class of 2020

McClung threw out of a high 3/4 delivery. Mechanically sound with a repeatable motion. His FB sat 79-80 mph with a little movement. CB at 65-66 mph was inconsistent but at best demonstrated late break and moderate depth with 11-5 shape. CH at 71 mph was thrown with good sell and consistent arm side fade/ sinking action.

On the mound, Smith displayed a repeatable delivery out of the 3/4 arm slot. Smith's FB sat 79-80 mph with life. Smith's CH sat 67-69 and was deceptive at the plate. Overall, Smith is one of the best 2019's that are still available in West Virginia.

On the mound, the 6-foot-1, 160-pound righty displays a tight to his body leg kick with midsection turn at the top of his delivery. Smith continues his delivery and releases out of a low-mid 3/4 slot that provides deception at the plate. His FB sat 78-79 with arm side run. Smith's CB sat 66-67 mph and showed sweeping action. Smith's CH is thrown out of the same slot and arm speed, making it a deceptive weapon. Smith will be arm to follow in the 2021 Class in West Virginia.

Evan SmithEvan Smith, University HS, Class of 2021

Romano sat 77-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm motion. Fastball showed good action while his Curveball at 66-68 displayed slider break. Romano's delivery is compact, and finishes in line with his target. Would benefit from developing a third pitch.

Petty throws his CB out of the same arm slot as both his FB and CH, which will benefit him as his velocity continues to climb. With his sound mechanics, Petty will be a arm to follow in the 2021 Class.
