The 2015 Major League Draft takes place June 8-10. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.
The last West Virginia high school product to be picked in the top 10 rounds was J.R. Bradley, who went to the Diamondbacks in the second round of the 2010 draft. The player with the best chance of cracking the top 10 rounds this year is Zach Minnick (Logan HS, WV), a power-hitting catcher committed to Campbell. Other than that, keep an eye on these players to make some noise in college.
Top Prospects
1. Zach Minnick, C, Logan HS, WV
Minnick has a big, strong frame at 6 feet, 215 pounds and stands out for his bat. He has good power from the right side as the ball jumps off his bat.
