#8 Corona Del Sol 4 vs #2 Basha 5
Bradyn Barnes LHP / 1B / Basha, AZ / 2023Arizona State commit Bradyn Barnes didn't have the velo we saw in the fall, however he was able to battle through it to pull out the big win on Tuesday afternoon over a solid Corona Del Sol team. Through 6.1 innings of work Barnes held Corona scoreless through 6 while giving up 4 earned in the bottom of the 7th. Barnes fastball was working to both sides of the plate with some arm side life, sitting 86-88 with acouple glimpses of 89. The slider showed to be the separator with some late depth at 76-77.

Cole Carlon LHP / 1B / Corona del Sol, AZ / 2023Coming off pitcher of the week honors after throwing a complete game shutout against Chandler, was Arizona State commit Cole Carlon. Carlon was dominate through 5 innings of work while allowing 2 earned in the 6th. The big lefty commanded well in the strike zone with a 3 pitch mix and a fastball sitting 90-92. Carlon has been making his case as he is a potential draft prospect this upcoming summer.

Nathan Nichols OF / LHP / Basha, AZ / 2023Rankings StateRank: 88 / POS: 18
Yavapai commit Nathan Nichols had a great day at the plate with 2 knocks and an RBI. Late in the game Nichols got into one driving it to right center field for a stand up double off the wall. Nichols has an athletic muscular frame with tons of power in the bat to the pull side. In the outfield he runs well for his size with an above avg arm.

Landon Zaborowski 3B / 1B / Basha, AZ / 2024Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 3
Utah Valley commit Landon Zaborowski had a multi hit game at the plate for the Bears on Tuesday night with one of them being this rocket strait back up the middle. The third baseman has great size, standing at 6-3 with some athletic length to him. He's short to the ball with good extension. At the hot corner he made a great play late in the game on a back hand down the line. Showing off a great arm and accurate throw to first.

Gavin Smith SS / 3B / Basha, AZ / 2024Rankings StateRank: 31 / POS: 10
Harvard commit Gavin Smith with a great day at the dish in their matchup against Corona Del Sol. Going 2-4 including this 2 RBI single to left center. Smith shows a tremendous amount of quick twitch on both sides of the ball with a short compact swing from the right side. Defensively you will likely see Smith at the hot corner where he moves well side to side with confidence in the glove and an above average arm across the infield.

#3 Mountain Ridge 5 vs Gilbert 4
Cooper Neville SS / 2B / Mountain Ridge, AZ / 2023Grand Canyon University commit Cooper Neville went 2-4 at the plate on Wednesday including this majestic blast over the right field wall. Neville is in a category of his own when it comes to athleticism, showing high level speed on the bases and advanced actions in the middle of the field.

Carson McEntire OF / 1B / Mountain Ridge, AZ / 2023Oregon State commit Carson McEntire was 1-2 on his day at the plate. McEntire is another high level athlete on a loaded Mountain Ridge team, and one of the highest draft prospects in the state of Arizona for the 2023 class. McEntire has a simple compact swing with the ability to lose the ball to all fields. McEntire was a standout for the Arizona Diamondbacks scout team this past fall.

Cooper Foster LHP / Gilbert, AZ / 2023Rankings StateRank: 106 / POS: 7
Central Arizona commit Cooper Foster made the start for the Tigers on Wednesday afternoon. Foster has a 6-foot-3 lengthy athletic frame from the left side with a high over the top action. Foster produces a quick arm and a fastball sitting 86-88 T.90. Fosters breaking ball works at 72-73 with a big 12/6 action, when thrown for strikes down in the zone showed to be a quality swing and miss pitch.

Cannon Peery 1B / 3B / Mountain Ridge, AZ / 2023Rankings StateRank: 62 / POS: 3
One of the top uncommitted prospects in the state of Arizona had a 1-4 day at the plate. the corner infielder Peery stands at 6-foot-3 with some of the best power tools in the state. Peery has a good base in the box with a simple leg lift load and a quick bat through the zone. Peery was a standout at this past falls west coast games where he hit a home run to deep left field for team Arizona at UNLV Stadium.

#11 Horizon 5 vs Centennial 4
Garrett Geenen 3B / 1B / Horizon, AZ / 2024Uncommitted corner infielder Garrett Geenen may have been the most eye opening player to come out of todays Horizon vs Centennial matchup. With two quality at bats with one being this shot over the left field wall for a home run. Geenen has a tall build with a solid lower half and plenty more strength to come. Defensively you will likely see Geenen at first base or the hot corner.

Collin Senior SS / RHP / Horizon, AZ / 2023Rankings StateRank: 34 / POS: 8
Pima community college commit Collin Senior had an all around great day on both sides of the field. At the plate he went 2-3 including this rocket of a single to left field. Defensively Senior has tons of confidence in the glove with a great arm across the infield. Senior is the #34 ranked player in the 2023 class and is a high follow for the Arizona staff.

Kevin Ramos SS / 2B / Centennial, AZ / 2023Rankings StateRank: 68 / POS: 16
Yavapai community college commit Kevin Ramos started the day off on a great note driving this fastball over the right fielders head for a double. Ramos went on to finish the game going 2-4. At the plate Ramos is a scrappy left handed stick with a quick bat and quality contact tool. In the field he shows clean actions with the glove and an accurate arm across.

William Strand 3B / C / Centennial, AZ / 2025Rankings StateRank: 44 / POS: 7
Uncommitted 2025 grad William Strand put his mark on the day with a 2 run bomb while down 3 in the top of the 7th inning, to put Centennial back in striking distance. While Centennial was not able to get another one across Strand showed a tremendous amount of raw power for a 2025. Strand has a large strong build and will likely be at first base for Centennial throughout the season. Strand is a high follow for the Arizona staff.
