With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Waynedale Golden Bears

2019 Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: "We return a lot of experience from our league and district championship team. Our pitching staff should be solid and deep with 5 of our top 6 pitchers returning. Defensively, we should be sound across all positions. We return 4 all league selections, all at key positions. If we can score some runs, we will have a chance to be in a lot of ballgames."

PBR Outlook: The Waynedale Golden Bears and coach Justin McDowell return experience, arms and talent in 2019. After a 21-win 2018 campaign, look for the Golden Bears to repeat that with eyes on taking the next step come tournament time.
