Washington 2025 Class: Rankings Update

Our rankings updates continue this week with the 2025 class. Last week we updated and expanded the 2024 class.
Our latest update for the Junior class features a big riser into the Top 10 and the overall list expands to feature 135 total prospects with a vast majority still uncommitted.

Neyens remains #1

Xavier Neyens 3B / RHP / Mount Vernon , WA / 2025No surprise here as Neyens remains in the #1 spot as he continues to show elite tools and ability at the national level. His 2-way potential was on full display this summer as he excelled at Area Codes while facing older competition the entire time. Offensively he produces hard contact to all fields with plus power potential from the left-side. He's athletic enough to handle multiple spots defensively with plus arm strength from both the left side of the INF and OF. On the mound, he's pitched in the low 90s on multiple looks with a quality SL at 73-77. Currently ranked 5th overall nationally. Oregon State commit. |
Pruitt on the rise

Trace Pruitt RHP / OF / Olympia, WA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
Pruitt committed to Washington not long after a stellar two-inning stint in San Diego. Working with a bulldog mentality, he pounded the zone at 87-89 with some arm side life down in the zone, and looked to have more velocity in the tank. The quick-armed, 6-foot-2, projectable athlete got stronger use of the lower-half in working long down the mound with quality extension out front. He struck out two in two innings of work against just one hit, and the tight, 11/5 curveball that he ripped off at 76-77 with 2700+ rpm exhibited significant upside as a potential out-pitch in the making. Only adding to his allure as a potential starter, he killed spin on a 79 mph changeup that was thrown for strikes. While the look short in duration, it more than warranted Pruitt’s place as being part of the next wave of power-arms coming out of the Pacific Northwest. |
The remainder of the Top 10 stays the same as this group of prospects has cemented themselves to begin the Fall season with their current standing. That being said, with a group as talented and deep as the 2025 class is, there will certainly be players challenging for a Top 10 spot in the future...

Cooper Markham RHP / 3B / Enumclaw , WA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 3
RHP Cooper Markham climbs to the #11 spot in the latest update. Oregon commit has a low effort operation on the bump with advanced feel for his FB/SL combination and a knack for consistnetly missing bats. The ball jumps out of hand with carry into the upper quadrant of the zone. It's a starter profile for Markham as he's shown a consistent track record now not just of having quality pure stuff but also aptitude for pitching well in game when it matters. |

Matthew Manjooran OF / RHP / Camas , WA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 5
Manjooran jumps from 24 to 18 after a highly successful showing at the PBR Future Games. A well rounded athlete with balanced tools, Manjooran really tapped into his power in game against quality pitching, showcasing effortless bat speed and the ability to impact the baseball with a low effort swing. Likely fits best in OF long term with his running ability and arm. Uncommitted. |

Quincey Brown RHP / OF / O'Dea, WA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 5
Brown was a big winner this year across the spring and into the summer season. A projectable athlete with body control and fluid actions, Brown took a big step on the mound as he was called to handle more innings this spring. With a long, loose arm stroke he runs the FB up to 87-88 with slight cut and can also shape a tight breaking ball in the low to mid 70s. Overall it's a high ceiling arm that is poised to make a significant jump in 2024. Uncommitted. |
