Virginia produced two high school picks in the top three rounds in 3B Joe Rizzo (Oakton HS, VA) and OF Khalil Lee (Flint Hill School, VA). The 2017 class doesn’t have as much top tier talent, but could potentially show more depth when its prospects get some college seasoning. There are no PBR Draft 100 Prospects in the state, but SS Tanner Morris (Miller School, VA) was on the list in earlier editions.
NONE
OTHERS TO WATCH: Morris is likely to shift off of shortstop, but has shown some upside on offense. He is committed to Virgnia, which is normally considered a tough sign, but Morris used a wood bat during the spring—possibly hinting at his desire to jump into pro ball.
