Today, we are unveiling our second update to the Small School Top 10. This features ten of the best VHSL 1A and VHSL 2A schools in Virginia/DC.
Staying at #1 are the Lebanon Pioneers. Lebanon had a playoff win over Grundy last week by a slim 20-0 margin and now have one of their toughest tests of the year versus Eastside in the region semis.
Coming in at #2 are the Chatham Cavaliers. Chatham rolled to a 6-1 victory over Dan River last week and have a tough test versus Alleghany this week.
Auburn (Riner) checks in at #3 in the rankings. The Eagles have lost two games this season, both one run losses to quality teams. The have outscored their opponents by over two-hundred and forty runs and are setup to make a deep run into the playoffs.
Stay tuned over the next two weeks as we continue to update these rankings.
