In the first game of the day the Cox Falcons took on the Hickory Hawks. Hickory jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after High Point commit and designated hitter Zackary Chadwell hit a two out double in the right center gap that would score the speedy sophomore Austin Jones. In the bottom of the second Cox would take a 2-1 lead after Hickory surrendered three walks, had a throwing error, and got a big RBI single from Fenwick Trimble (JMU) to put Cox up 2-1. In the bottom of the third Cox had two singles, the first by John Bastiaans (Virginia Wesleyan) and the second a RBI single by Thomas White. The White single scored Bastiaans to make it 3-1 Falcons. That would be the end of the scoring as the pitching dominated the rest of the game. Cox's Michael Irby (ECU) threw a complete game. Irby allowed only four hits and struck out three while amassing a 72% strike percentage. The final score was 3-1 and Cox moves on to the Class 5 Region A championship game on Wednesday night.

In the second semifinal of the night the First Colonial Patriots took on the Nansemond River Warriors. There was not much offensive action on the night, with the exception of First Colonial's lone run in the top of the fifth inning. The only run scored on the night came off of the bat of First Colonial catcher Jerry Barnes III, who hit a sacrifice fly to center field. In that inning alone the Patriots totaled four of their six hits, including three bunt singles. Warriors' starter Ayden Stuffel was excellent on the night and was able to limit the First Colonial damage that inning to just one, but that would be enough for the Patriots. First Colonial junior starter William Wian was maginificent on the night. Wian allowed only two hits in his seven innings of work and would get the complete game shutout to send First Colonial to the Region 5A Championship game to face Frank W. Cox.
