Every Monday during the high school season, we will preview a handful of the top games in our coverage area scheduled for the upcoming week (Monday - Sunday). The public school regular season is winding down to a close this week and the private schools have their conference tournaments this week with VISAA releasing its State Tournament bracket this coming weekend.
Paul VI Catholic vs St. John's College This match-up has been documented in this space before as the two teams have played a pair of tight games that went down to the wire, splitting the decisions so far with St. John's winning the first meeting and Paul VI winning the second match-up. The two teams have a combined 20 college-bound players. St. John's is looking to win their fourth straight WCAC Championship.
Good Counsel vs DeMatha The other WCAC semifinal series features a matchup between the second and third place teams from the regular season. These two also split their regular season meetings with Good Counsel winning the second game narrowly a week ago.
