Every Monday during the high school season, we will preview a handful of the top games in our coverage area scheduled for the upcoming week (Monday - Sunday).

 

Granby v Frank Cox, Monday May 1 Granby has had a good spring and is coming off of a big win on Friday that saw junior Kris Artis (Old Dominion) shut down Oscar Smith. Cox has a solid lineup that features senior Hogan Brown (VCU) and junior Jacob Hawley (Georgia Tech).

Orange County v Louisa County, Tuesday May 2 This could be fun game for pitching enthusiasts as it could be a matchup between Orange senior Bradley Hanner (Patrick Henry CC) and Louisa junior Lliam Grubbs (James Madison). Grubbs is coming off of a complete game win last Thursday and Hanner also won his last start Thursday.

Fauquier v Kettle Run, Tuesday May 2 Warrenton rivals square off as Fauquier looks to hand Kettle Run its first loss of the spring. The Cougars have a stacked senior class that includes pitchers Ryan Daniels (Bluefield), Sam Ewald (VMI), and Will Merriken (Roanoke) as well as two-way talent Noah Goins (Patrick Henry) and catcher Tyler Shaffer (Catholic).
