It is with great excitement that we release to you today, our most recent update to the Virginia/DC Class of 2025 rankings with our Top 175 release. We have expanded the class from the Top 150 to the Top 175. Following today's Top 175 we will highlight a few big risers in the rankings on Friday, as well as highlight nationally ranked players from VA/DC.
Now we will highlight a few players inside of the 51-175 range of the rankings release.
Porter Gobble has been outstanding for John Battle this spring. The sophomore two-way standout has been a low to mid 80's arm and shown some pitchability. Three pitch mix and can throw all three for strikes. The left handed hitter is a contact driven bat and sprays it around the field with some line drive tendencies.

Quick 1st working at 83-86. Velo faded to 81-83 T84 in 2nd. Landed spin for strikes and has varied shapes at 71-73. @PBRVirginiaDC #PBRIsThere pic.twitter.com/UXNR1hd5ak

Matoaca sophomore, Jordan Brown, has really cleaned up the frame and looks much more athletic. While he is still probably 1B/corner outfield profile long term, the offense plays. Lean strength, aggressive approach, and produces loud contact at the plate.
After working deep into the count and 2k battle, Matoaca ‘25 3B/1B JT Brown gets a big RBI 2B to LF.

Gets into lower half w/2K. Simple quick load and nice job to stay on plane of FB to get +barrel. Quick hands.

Logan Adams continues to show his in game hit tool. Just seems to get to the barrel and contact on a regular basis. Ability to hit for high average and shows double powers in both gaps. Defensive profile is still to be determined, but the offensive production will allow him to contribute early.
‘25 Logan Adams just has the ability to hit. Flew out to LF in his 1st AB and singles to RF here in this one.

Western Branch still leads 8-0 going to B3. @PBRVirginiaDC #PBRIsThere pic.twitter.com/U7b0HSwVRI
Freedom (South Riding) sophomore, Justin Lee, has been really strong at the plate when our staff has seen him. Rhythm in the hands and a knack for producing loud contact. Accurate barrel with some power potential in the swing. Will be one to watch long term.

Lee catches another barrel to deep center but it is ran down on the track. Has shown feel for the barrel with loud contact.@PBRVirginiaDC #CommonwealthClassic #PBRIsThere pic.twitter.com/Lo5k25Q497
