There was not a lot of movement at the top of the Updated Power Top 25 rankings this week, as most teams did what they were expected to do - win. St. Rita (22-0) still remains unbeaten, as does No. 9 Lincoln-Way West (18-0). Mundelein (18-1) dropped its first game last week to Lake Forest.

The only change in the top 10 was Minooka, after losing to Glenbard South on Saturday, drops five spots to No. 10. A quick look at the updated Power 25 Team rankings:

Climbing

+ No. 15 Champaign Central (22-1) moves four spots after sweeping crosstown rival Centennial, among other victories last week.

+ Speaking of sweeping its rival, No. 2 Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin dispatched of Glenwood twice last week. The Cyclones, however, fell to traditional Missouri power CBC on Saturday.

+ No. 19 Glenbrook South moves up two from last week. The Titans will be put to the test when they take on Central Suburban South rival New Trier twice this week.

Sinking

+ No 20 Batavia lost twice last week to St. Charles East.

+ No. 18 Providence got blasted by No. 8 St. Laurence on Saturday in a matchup of team aces.

+ No. 24 St. Joseph-Ogden was dealt a major blow when it lost ace RHP Hunter Hart to an injury.

New to the top 25

+ With little fanfare, No. 23 McHenry is quietly the best team in the Fox Valley. At 14-3 with several good wins under its belt, McHenry moves into the top 25. Nine of its 14 wins are by two runs or less.

+ No. 25 Homewood-Flossmoor yo-yos in and out of the top 25.
