The 2019 class ranking expand to now the top 70 players that we have come across through our various events we host and games/event that we cover with our tireless boots-to-the-ground approach to scouting.

As with any early class rankings, the 2019 class will be one of the bigger class shift ups over the summer as we continue to scout the state and this class will seem themselves make the most improvements in their development. Don’t be surprised if our rankings go over 100 in the next update in August.

Again these rankings consist of players that we have had the opportunity to see whether it be at our own events/games, or at outside events/games that we cover throughout the year.

There has already been a good amount of moving around, yet young RHP Nathan Hardcastle retains the top spot in the class. The right-hander from Red Lion (DE) boasts a live arm, athletic frame and pitchs with little effort, showing that the future is bright and the potential is high in the young man. DeMatha’s Thomas Keehn continues to hold on to the No.2 spot in the rankings and has solidified that spot with a strong sophomore campaign for the Stags taking over the role of ace and giving ace like performances over the spring en route to DeMatha making it to the championship of the WCAC this spring.

Recent Maryland commit Chris Chaney is the big mover of the top ten, going from No. 9 to No. 4 in the rankings. The righty from Saint James saw a big increase in velocity this spring, getting up to 88 this winter and maintained that velocity in the spring to go along with a swing and miss breaking ball. The righty has also made a physical transformation and looks as if he will only continue to improve.

Jamison Covey is the top newcomer to the ranks as the talented right-hander from Colonel Richardson has been up to 87 mph on the mound with an athletic frame and arm and looks to have more in the tank.

But enough of the talk, here is your first look at the top ten.
