Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Tregg Scherer, RHP, Charlestown HS

Tregg Scherer is an unsigned senior right handed pitcher from Charlestown High School. the 6-foo, 160lb Scherer this past weekend sat consistently 83-86 on the mound touching 88 a couple of times. He throws two off speed pitches, a 10/4 curve ball with late break and a 73-75 mph changeup. Scherer's out pitch is his curveball. He's able to throw the curve consistently for strikes and locates it well.
PBR: As you enter your senior year of HS, where are you currently in the recruiting process?
Tregg: IUS and Otterbine.
PBR: What schools are you most interested in right now, and why?
Tregg: I'm leaning towards IUS, because I feel at home and I love coach reel and respect him as a coach.
PBR: What aspect of your game do you believe needs the most improvement?
Tregg: Being able to go deeper in a game and improve my mechanics to get everything out of what I bring to the table.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer, how do you feel playing for them helped you?
Tregg: I play legion and also on a travel team with Jim Wells.
PBR: What are your goals for the 2012 season?
Tregg: Just doing the best I can to prove to everyone that I can play and what I can do as a pitcher.
PBR: What is your fondest memory or highlight from your 2011 baseball season (High School or Summer)?
Tregg: Just bonding and becoming a family with the guys on my legion team they are life long friends.
PBR: What is your GPA? If you have taken it, what did you get on the ACT/SAT?
Tregg: 2.0 sat 1270 an act 17 working on getting my gpa at a 2.5
