Today’s unsigned senior spotlight is Kevin Seibel, a shortstop from Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Seibel has been a staple in the Viking lineup since his freshman year. He burst onto the scene as a freshman, starting at second base for the Vikings and contributing to a birth into the State Tournament. Although the Vikings came up short it was an experience that would prove to be valuable down the road.

Entering his sophomore season Seibel became the starting shortstop and helped lead Winnebago Lutheran to its first ever State Championship in 2011. He also earned 2^nd team all-conference as a sophomore.

In his junior campaign, the left handed swinger hit .423 and posted an 8-1 record on the mound with a 2.70 ERA. Following the season he was a unanimous 1^st team all-conference selection, as well as runner-up for player of the year in the Wisconsin Flyway Conference.

Winnebago Lutheran Head Coach Mike Seibel says, "The combination of an excellent contact hitter and an outstanding eye at the plate makes Kevin a threat to get on base seemingly every time he has is at bat".

Seibel will be entering his senior season coming off a stellar junior campaign, and hopes to improve on his 2012 numbers and move on to the next level.
