Executive Director
Jeff Hahs, OF/RHP, O’Fallon HS
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Hahs is one of the top unsigned two-way prospects in Illinois’ 2014 class. Ranked No. 58 in Illinois and 284 overall, Hahs has considerable upside on the mound, but is currently more polished as an outfield prospect.
As a junior, Hahs was a major run-producer for perennial powerhouse O’Fallon. He batted .382 with 40 hits, three triples, three homers and 35 RBI. Defensively, he takes confident, aggressive routes to the baseball and has plenty of arm strength. He was clocked at 86 mph last February at the PBR Preseason All-State Showcase.
On the mound, Hahs has a quick, athletic arm working from a high-3/4 slot. He topped at 86 mph last February, but we have had reports that he’s scraped 90 over the summer.
Hahs is looking primarily at junior colleges at the moment. He said he has received interest from John A. Logan JC, Heartland CC, Kaskaskia JC and Rend Lake College. Hahs said he has already visited John A. Logan, and has scheduled visits to Kaskaskia and Rend Lake in the near future.
Hahs said he plays for the St. Louis Pirates in the fall.
