Scouting Report
2/16/2019: Gabe Landeros, OF/3B, Cathedral HS, 2020, 6 foot 3, 170 pounds, hits upright and uses a controlled leg lift to load. Hands load early and he carries them forward to stride. Gabe had an 84 mph exit velo and ran a 7.15 60 yard dash. Showed good actions and long arm action in both the infield and outfield. Threw 81 mph from 3rd base and 87 mph from the outfield. His body is lean and long and needs strength to take his tools to the next level as he does possess the skill set and athleticism to have a future in the game.
6/12/18: Long and lank 6’3 2020 OF prospect. Hits from the right side, wide base setup with a slight crouch. Short leg lift and stride to the baseball. Showed average bat speed from a short compact swing. Tended to inside out the baseball. In the OF looked athletic with good footwork and exchange. Arm looked above average.
2/24/18: 6-foot-3, 160 pound utility player has above average bat speed with a long, uphill path to contact. Athletic frame. Raw actions. Average use of the lower half. High exit velocity of 81. Defensively, projects more as an outfielder, but can play third base as well. Average glove, fluid footwork. High 3/4 slot with above average arm strength. Throws topped 87 from the outfield, 77 from the infield. He ran a 7.15 60 yard dash.
12/16/17: Lanky, 6-foot-3, 160 pound outfielder displayed a balanced setup with hands preloaded back. Features a leg kick into stride, minimal hand load. Quick barrel turn to contact. Creates extension. Gap to gap power present with more to come. Line drive hitter. High exit velocity of 80mph. Defensively, he plays through the baseball with clean transfer into high 3/4 release. Throws peaked at 85mph. Ran a 7.28 laser timed 60 yard dash. High ceiling for the sophomore.
