Today we feature unsigned  senior Ted Epps from Saint Xavier HS. Epps is ranked No.59 in Kentucky's class of 2013. 

Epps is a 5-foot-7, 160-pound catcher who showed the quickest release at our unsigned senior event.  His throws from the crouch registered at 71 mph on the bag, and he had an event best pop time of 2.01.  He is a solid receiver of the baseball and shows good blocking skills with some athleticism behind the plate.  As a hitter, Epps uses an athletic, balanced setup and smooth load with good lower half involvement to generate bat speed through the zone.  He shows a slight uphill path to the ball with good extension.

Look for Epps to provide senior leadership on the field for the Tigers as Coach Porta's squad attempts to get back to the State Tournament in Lexington again in 2013.
