Ben Hart, MIF/OF, Rochester Adams HS, 2013
Ben Hart is a solid all-around performer. He is a strong athlete who plays multiple sports and is an talented football player in addition to baseball. When he steps onto the field, he brings a toughness and hard-nose mentality to the diamond. During the summer months he plays for an Oakland Bulldogs that boast other Division I recruits such as Nick Deeg (Lake Orion HS) and Nick Bredeson (Bloomfield Hills Andover HS).
From a baseball perspective the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Hart is a solid runner at 7.13 in the 60 yard dash and has capable arm across the diamond. He projects best at second base at the next level but could add depth at short if necessary. He turned double plays and moved well in the infield with good footwork and solid hands. At the plate he has an upright yet balanced approach and finishes his swing well. He displays some good gap to gap pop with more power potential later on. Overall Hart brings energy to the field and seems to be an aggressive hard worker.
