Justin Lockwood, C/MIF, Ft. Zumwalt South, Class of 2016:
Lockwood is an athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound left handed hitter who shows some promise and we look forward to following him as he continues to progress.

At the plate, the left-handed hitter has good rhythm with looseness in his swing. Lockwood has a level swing with extension through contact, showing the ability effectively to drive the ball gap to gap.

Behind the plate, Lockwood’s pop times ranged from 2.12-2.20 with fundamental footwork and a clean glove to had transfer. He showed to be a confident and effective receiver and blocker during bullpen sessions. In the field, Lockwood showed to be a sure handed fielder with good range to his glove hand side. He has quick arm action with accurate throws across the diamond.
