Scouting Report
Team: Junior Dinos
PBR Events Attended: Southern Alberta Talent ID 2017
Background: Projectable build with room to add bulk at 5-foot-10, 185-pounds. Fluid and athletic actions combined with power to all fields put Prediger near the top of Alberta’s 2019 class. Tall and relaxed stance, big stride into contact, long arms create extension through the zone, swings with intent creating backspin and carry gap to gap. Catch-and-throw is smooth, clean release with good carry proven by his sub 2.00 pop time. Polished receiving skills, quick side-to-side movements and solid footwork. Prediger looks to establish himself as the top catcher in his class this upcoming summer with the Junior Dinos.
Need to Know: Prediger has been playing in the high school summer league in Alberta for Calgary since he was 13, starting for the Junior Dinos in his freshman season that was highlighted by a 13 game hit streak. Lead his team this past summer to a 30-6 league record, caught 6 no-hit innings against the Brooks Bombers of the WMBL and finished top 10 in overall batting average. Training 5 days/week with Junior Dinos including strength and conditioning, Prediger will be looking to transfer this into success on both sides of the plate come the start of his summer season.
