Uncommitted Spotlight: RHP Tyson Harmon
August 21, 2023
With the summer coming to a close and we begin to transition to the fall with a brand-new school year, our focus is still on uncommitted prospects in the Classes of 2024 and 2025. As these prospects enter their final two years of high school, there are still many talented upperclassmen still on the market that may have been "overlooked" or are currently "flying under the radar" and looking for a place to play at the next level.
We will begin to take a look and spotlight an uncommitted prospect every other day throughout the week. Be sure to click the Ucommitted Spotlight tab on the menu tab to see previous spotlights as we move throughout the fall.

Scouting Report
6-foot-2 170-pounds. Athletic frame, stands out on the field. 2 sport athlete. Played a great 2B all game, and had a couple really good swings at the plate. He nearly had one they left the yard, but turned into an inside the park homerun. He moves really well, and has long athletic strides. He stands tall at the plate, and has a simple swing with a good bat path. He starts slightly closed off, and opens the front hip on the swing, but still has the ability to connect consistently. He impressed most on the mound. He came in relief in a game that seemed one sided. He stayed steady, and filled up the zone and gave the Mustangs a chance that ended up paying off. The fastball was 85-87, and had tons of life. He has a naturally strong arm, and attacked hitters early with the fastball. He threw the slider in some key spots, and got some swing and miss with it way out of the zone. It has a ton of bite, and late action. Harmon is a competitor that will help any team win, and will be an uncommitted junior to keep an eye on this summer.
