Uncommitted Spotlight: 19' William Scheil 3B/RHP Nova Classical Academy
October 19, 2018
PBR Minnesota strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
Scheil: I have had interest from Macalester College, Oberlin College, Bard College, University of Rochester, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and a few other schools.
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
Scheil: I have done invited visits at Macalester a couple times and have been invited to visit at Oberlin, Bard and Princeton.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Scheil: I am looking for a school with good academics and a strong pre-med program as well as competitive baseball. I would like to stay in the Midwest if I can.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
Scheil: I had a great time this summer playing for the Great Lakes 18U varsity team at Perfect Game tournaments in places like Dallas and Atlanta.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
Scheil: I only turned 17 back in July, so I want to keep developing my strength and explosiveness in the gym. I am going to do a velo program again in the off season and try to get my fastball consistently into the upper 80s.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Scheil: I used to also play football, but now just baseball.
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
Scheil: My ACT is 34 and my SAT is 1500. My GPA is 3.93.
