Scouting Report
6/19/18- 6-foot-3, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. #45 ranked player in MN 2019 class. Thin wiry frame. Has tempo in to slight tuck and turn balance point, works up and over front side, quick arm out front, whippy arm action at times. Has life on fastball at 84-86 mph with inconsistent release point and command. Sharp break on 11/5 curveball with tight spin. Above avg. action on changeup; thrown at fastball arm speed.
3/18/18- 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.56 runner. Open stance, leg kick trigger with shoulder load, longer movements create length to swing, avg. barrel skills, long levers create occasional bat speed with hard pull contact, 78 mph exit velocity. Above avg. arm, avg. tempo, fields in high stance, stiffer glove, sure hands, solid athlete in field, 83 mph arm across infield. On mound; long limbs with wiry frame, short turn into controlled athletic balance point, strides across body, clean loose arm out front. Produces heavy 83-84 mph fastballs with run and sink to plate. Breaking ball continued to improve the more he threw it; flashing sharp late break and 11/5 shape. Late arm-side run on changeup thrown at fastball arm speed.
10/22/17- 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Will make a jump into MN 2019 rankings. 7.33 runner. Open stance, knee to knee trigger, strides to square, line drive swing plane, inconsistent contact but flashes above avg. pop to pull side of field, 82 mph exit velocity. Works down to up, fields out front, soft hands, solid actions, above avg. arm with carry and accuracy to bag, 82 mph arm across infield. On mound; side step in to tall balance point, works down mound well, shows arm speed and hand is quick out front. Fastball was 82-85 mph; thrown downhill with straight action. Throws solid 11/5 breaking ball for strikes. Keeps changeup in bottom of zone with above avg. fade.
