Murphy: Visited or planning on visiting the above and a few others.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Murphy: A good culture and campus feel. Looking for a chance to develop quickly and help the program.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
Murphy: Being the only junior starter and key contributor on AAA State Champion Mahtomedi Zephyr team.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
Murphy: Having been named captain for upcoming season I want to help our team return to the state tournament.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Murphy: Football (linebacker) and Basketball (forward)
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
Murphy: ACT 19 (retaking) and GPA 2.95
Scouting Report
8/19/18- 6-foot-3, 188-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. 7.14 runner. Open stance with weight slightly back. Body load back and hand load down into arm bar. Longer swing but shows some pop in barrel. Middle of field approach with ground ball and line drive contact. 89 mph exit velocity. IF- Stiff glove and heavy feet. Squats to fields. Takes time to release with 73 mph arm strength and decent carry and good accuracy.
