Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: C Hunter Petska
January 10, 2020
Here at the start of the New Year, we’re going to be spending some time highlighting the best of the state’s uncommitted senior class.
Fellow uncommitted seniors in Wisconsin are also welcome to register for Sunday's showcase in the Chicagoland area, the Unsigned Senior Showcase. Staffs from both states will be in attendance, too.
Green Bay Preble looks poised for another run to state this spring, but they'll be looking to plug some holes after graduating a number of their reliable role players last May. Thankfully for Preble, Hunter Petska was not among them. Headed into his senior year, Petska can safely be etched into this starting lineup to surround and protect two of the best 2020s in the Midwest, teammates Ryan Stefiuk and Max Wagner. But Petska himself has earned himself a place to play next fall and beyond. He's a reliable blocker, receiver, and consistently looked the part behind the plate throughout last summer. Petska swings a long and loose right-handed bat and can create some gap-to-gap barrels, too. He's got the tools to fit on a roster after he graduates, we'll just have to see where that might be.
