October 19, 2018
Prep Baseball Report California's team of scouts has been all over the state scouting players at all levels. Our scouts have seen thousands of players in the state since we launched in January with many more to come over the next few months leading up to the 2019 spring season. With the recruiting dead period quickly approaching we wanted to take some time and highlight some uncommitted players our team of scouts have seen.
2019 1B/RHP Adrese Azzani is a guy that stood out at the Top Prospects Showcase in August. He showed very intriguing skills at the plate that included some impressive power potential.
Let's take a closer look...

QUICK TAKE
At first glance you can't help but notice Azzani's length. Even at 6-foot-4 he looks looks as though he may not be done growing in height. He's definitely nowhere near done filling out which gets you excited when you see his bat-to-ball skills. There's power in the bat no question, and when he physically matures fully, it will be do display more consistently. Shows fast hands through the hitting zone where he controls the barrel keeping it on a consistent plane. Then there's the current pop in the barrel that sneaks up on you almost unexpectedly. During his BP round at Top Prospects Showcase he smoked line drive after line drive into the gaps before BOOM, a bomb to left-center-field. Then another to left before going back to barreling line drives to the gap. There's a lot to project from Azzani at the plate who also pitches from the right side.

Consistently squares balls up and shows over-the-fence power presently which should only improve as body develops more. Azzani shows fast hands and a consistent barrel path. Gets full extension after explosive contact. Azzani registered a 93 mph exit velocity off the tee giving an indication of his power potential once fully grown.
