Scouting Report
6-foot-3, 190 pound RHP with upside in frame. Over the head windup from left side of rubber. Long arm swing that works through a 3/4 slot. Produces effective ASR and sink to 84-85 mph fastball. Touched 86 (most velocity to date). FB max spin rate 2178 rpm. Shows feel for two secondary pitches, a 69-72 mph curveball (1813 rpm) with 11/5 shape, and a 73-76 mph changeup that mimics his fastball action. Lantz's FB max and velocity range has increased nearly 2 mph since mid-summer. He's an intriguing arm to follow with the liklihood of adding additional velocity in the near future.
