Uncommitted West Seniors Stand Out At Florida Diamond Club

By Justin Burgess
Florida Area Scout

The annual Florida Diamond Club Classic took place this past weekend at Joker Marchant Stadium. This event features the best 80-100 seniors in the state that gather for a 60 yard dash, batting practice, infield/outfield, and a few games. The teams are split up by region (North, South, East, and West) and dozens of scouts and college coaches are in attendance. Nearly 100 players who have participated in this event have made it to the major leagues and every year multiple players who attend end up getting drafted. This year will be no different.

Today, we will be a highlighting a few players from the West squad who not only stood out this weekend, but are also still uncommitted. Not only do these players have a chance to get drafted next year, but they are still looking for a place to call home at the college level.

Nick Baldor, OF/RHP, Tampa Jesuit, FL
At 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Baldor has an athletic, loose, and projectable frame. Everything he does on the field looks easy and he has good baseball instincts. Baldor’s best tool is his throwing arm as he has an above-average to plus arm from the outfield with good carry and accuracy.
