With the season just around the corner and the inaugural Wisconsin Prospect Identification shortly upon us, two more Wisconsin seniors have made commitments this week.
Sam Hurt, a shortstop from Eau Claire North HS, has committed to Madison College. Hurt is a 5-foot-8, 155-pound middle infielder with a strong arm and above average foot speed. He will look to make an immediate impact for Coach Davenport and the Wolfpack, solidifying their middle infield.
Shey Smith, an infielder from Racine St. Catherine’s HS has committed to the University of Wisconsin Parkside. Smith is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound infielder who displays a strong frame. He shows above average bat speed as he makes consistent hard contact. Smith displays pop to his pull side and shows barrel awareness. Smith’s biggest asset is definitely his prowess at the plate.
