True North Holds off Miami Springs Comeback

Friday night featured a matchup between Miami Springs and True North.

Austin Simmons got the start for True North. The lefthander surrendered two runs on three hits over three innings, striking out three. The two sport athlete ran his fastball up to 93 mph.

Samuel Fischer went five for five to help lead True North Titans to victory. Fischer had four singles and a triple in this game.

True North got things started in the first inning on an Angel Garcia sac fly. They added two more runs in the second including a Matias Fischer RBI double to go up 3-0. Miami Springs answered with two runs of their own to make it 3-2.

True North added five runs in the fourth inning. RBIs from Misael Uriepero, Angel Garcia, and Robert Alvarez made it 8-2.

Miami Springs scored five runs late in their comeback attempt. Andy Hernandez, Kelven Perera, Gio Cutino, and Samuel Camacho fueled the rally with RBIs.

The Golden Hawks came up just short in their rally attempt as they fell to True North 8-7.
