TrackMan Leaders: Fayetteville Tech Offense

Brandon Hall
Mid-Atlantic Executive Director

PBR was at JP Riddle Stadium in Fayetteville, NC to run a PBR Scout Day with Fayetteville Tech CC.  The Trojans were winding down their fall season and hosted PBR for a full scout day with their players.  The day opened with pitchers throwing controlled bullpens.  TrackMan was able to gather stats and information on each arm that threw.  The position players took the field next, running a laser timed 60, taking a full BP, and then going through defensive workouts.

Below we break down some of the numbers and notes produced during the scout day.  Each player that participated has a full PBR Profile that will host all of their stats, as well as video from the workout.

Hard Hit Percentage

TrackMan is able to track and follow exit velocities of each hitter.  Based on the individual's top exit velocity, TrackMan is able to give us a percentage of hard hit balls.  This percentage is based off of each individual hitter's top exit velocity.

Launch Angle Percentage

Based on the ball flight, TrackMan is able to identify each hit as a ground ball, line drive, or fly ball.  While there are many factors as to why a hitter may approach each pitch in a certain way, the overall groupings of BP can give some insight to each hitter's approach.
