Addison Rospert, OF/IF, Port Clinton HS, Class of 2013
Extremely athletic player. Registered a 6.64 in the 60 yard-dash. Displayed exceptional arm strength with 91 mph from the outfield and 80 mph across the infield. Shows baseball sense. Makes solid contact as a hitter. Squares front side from open stance. Uses chest hand trigger and has a tendency to flatten swing plane.
Alex Lind, OF, Elder HS, Class of 2013
Athletic player with solid 6.82 60-yard dash. Displayed 82 mph arm strength from the outfield. Uses an open hitting stance. Squares front side with good hand load trigger. Needs to improve his lower body torque to enhance power.
Austin Hancock, IF, Defiance HS, Class of 2014
Good athlete. Body strength should increase with time. Shows excellent infield skills. Could eventually be shortstop type but more 3B/2B type. Registered a 6.9 60-yard dash time. Offensively, he triggers hands from chest, which cuts down arm extension/plate coverage and causes flat bat plane path. Lower body is good, needs to achieve more top hand in trigger to enhance power potential.
Ben Standiford, RHP, Cambridge HS, Class of 2013
Big imposing, lanky body. Uses high front side kick which hinders balance at times. Has long backside arm extention with moderate speed through upper 3/4 slot. Fastball fairly straight and ranges from 77-79 mph. Displays downward spin on curveball (61-64 mph). Needs to keep develop off-speed pitches for the next level.
Blake Kuszmaul, RHP/OF Bryan HS, Class of 2013
Smallish body with good, raw skills. Ran 7.32 60 yard dash. Makes contact as a hitter. Shows some flatness in his hand load trigger at times that causes flat swing plane. Needs to enhance his lower body tourque. On the mound, he shows moderate arm speed through 3/4 slot. Improvement with enhanced lower half can improve overall balance and pitch control. Fastball is 83-84 with some late movement. Inconsistent feel on curve. Did throw one that showed some downward tilt and depth (68 mph). Change (76-77 mph) was straight.
Bobby Paola, MIF, CHCA, Class of 2013
Solid middle infield prospect. Likely suited for second base. Good hands and feet with above average arm strength from all angles. Ran 7.21 60-yard dash. Line drive type hitter. Shows good lower body torque and bat finish in swing.
Brady Harris, 1B, Olentangy Orange HS, Class of 2013
Big, strong bodied player. Good raw skills for his size. Registered a 7.07 60-yard dash. Good defensive skills around bag. Bat is his ticket. Hits out of crouch stance. Shows quick bat speed into zone with definite homerun power projection.
Bradley Wiemken, OF, Strongsville HS, Class of 2013
Good athlete with foot-speed (6.96 60) and 80 mph arm strength from the outfield. Has upright hitting stance. Holds bat at shoulder level but tends to drop hands into hitting attack zone which lengthens swing and flattens plane. Good lower half torque.
Brandon Ross, 1B/LHP, Indian Lake HS, Class of 2013
Has some strength in body. Shows baseball sense and range defensively. Well below average footspeed (8.34). Upright hitting stance. Makes contact with some projectable power. On the mound, he gets arm extension with moderate arm speed through 3/4 slot. Delivery repeats. Competes on the mound. Would like to see more compact balance throughout delivery. Fastball is 77-79 mph with some arm side run. Shows some feel on spinning curve (69-70 mph) and good arm action on 75-76 mph changeup.
Brian Malerick, RHP, Hudson HS, Class of 2013
Good physical projection in lank body. Competes well. Repeats delivery with moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Gets arm extension with finish. Fastball shows some life ranging 83-85 mph and topping at 87 mph with some arm side run. Has short break in 70-72 mph curveball but will drop arm slot at times with it.
Brock Frentzel, 1B, Gahanna Lincoln HS, Class of 2013
Strong bodied player with power potential. Defensively, shows good footwork and hands around first base. Offensively, he needs to improve backside load from leaking. Should develop some homerun pop with maturity and approach.
Caleb Norton, C/OF Lima Bath HS, Class of 2013
Small, athletic prospect. Ran 7.34 60 yard dash and registered 75 mph from the outfield. Has good catching skills with 2.03-2.09 pop times. Offensively, he hits out of crouch. Makes contact but needs to enhance hand load trigger and lower body torque.
Cody Calloway, IF/RHP Midview HS, Class of 2014
Projectable young arm with potential two-way abilities at the next level. Clean delivery with good balance. Gets front and backside extension with hip pop and finish. Repeats delivery with moderate arm speed from 3/4 slot. Fastball ranges 82-85 mph with some late movement. Has effective slurvy type curveball (74-75 mph) and some sink action on changeup (77-78 mph). *He was throwing after a football camp on Monday.
Corey Tipton, C/OF, St. Johns Jesuit HS, Class of 2013
Strong, solid prospect with good, raw skills. Body shows athleticism and durability. Ran 7.14 60 yard-dash. Good catching skills. Receives well with adequate blocking. Reached a top velocity of 83 mph from the crouch with 2.01-2.06 pop times. Offensively, he sets up in an open stance. Uses chest level hand trigger with flat bat plane results. Needs to get more top hand in swing to enhance overall power.
Dan Rowbottom, OF/IF, St. Ignatius HS, Class of 2013
Strong bodied athletic body with 6.91 60-yard dash speed. Corner outfielder type (82 mph arm strength) with the ability to play second base or third base. Left-handed hitter that hits from crouch with quick bat speed into zone with long finish. Line drive pop now, but will enhance power with increased physical maturity and development of hitting approach.
Eric Lauer, LHP, Midview HS, Class of 2013
University of Kentucky verbal. No windup with inward front side in delivery. Gets backside arm extension with some finish. Moderate 3/4 arm slot. Would like to see more balance in delivery. Fastball shows occasional cutting action (85-88 mph). Shows control of slurvy type breaking ball (72-73 mph) and some arm side run of change (76-77 mph).
Grant Schuermann, LHP, Lakota West HS, Class of 2014
Southpaw gets good backside arm extension with moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Has deception in delivery, will hump/or spring up in middle of delivery. Fastball ranges 77-80 mph (has been up to 85 mph) with some cut action. Spins downward curve (66-68 mph) and shows some good life down in the zone with changeup (73 mph).
Jacob Carpenter, C, Kenston HS, Class of 2013
Good athlete who keeps improving. Solid catching skills; has low target and lateral ability; boxes and frames well with above average arm strength (1.94-2.01 pop). Upright hitting stance from the left side. Good trigger and load, has quick bat speed into zone with long finish (controlled uppercut). Projectable pop in his bat. Needs to consistently keep good lower half torque.
Isaac Perry, IF, Norwalk HS, Class of 2013
Good raw skills. Runs 7.02 60 yard dash with 70 mph velocity across the diamond. More reaction infielder than range. Best suited for third base or second base. Offensively, triggers hands well but needs to enhance lower body torque to increase power and lessen upper body hitter only tendency.
Jake Krupar, OF, Canton Central Catholic HS, Class of 2013
Athletic player with 7.1 60-yard dash speed. Projects as a corner outfielder with 83 mph arm strength from the outfield. Offensively, he squares front side from open stance and makes solid contact on ball. Registered an exit velocity of 89 mph off the tee. Needs to use more lower body torque in swing to promote future power.
Jimmy White, OF, Elder HS, Class of 2013
Strong, stocky athlete with body strength and good baseball skills and sense. Can play all three outfield positions at the next level. Registered 6.92 60-yard dash. Displayed 82 mph arm strength from the outfield with carry. Shows good patient approach as hitter with line drive power to all fields.
Joe Ramstetter, RHP/OF, Elder HS, Class of 2013
Good, projectable athletic body with strength to come. Ran solid 6.87 60-yard time with 92 mph velocity from the outfield. Hits from an open stance who squares front side. He has a low hand trigger which results in upper-cut in swing. Potential homerun power. On the mound, he uses uses an over the top arm slot. Gets extension but needs to compact and repeat delivery. Downhill plane to his pitches. His arm has life but struggles at times with control. Fastball fairly straight, ranging 82-86 mph with some feel of spinning downward plane curve (66-67). Shows some arm side run on change (67-68 mph).
Jonny Nottingham, RHP, Massillon Jackson HS, Class of 2013
Aggressive, max effort hurler. Good, repeatable clean delivery with quick arm speed through upper 3/4 arm slot. Showed command of all pitches Fastball ranged 85-88 mph with some late life (some arm side run & cut). Has two types of curves in arsenal. Slider type with late cut at 74-77 mph and slow downward tilt curveball at 71-73 mph with some depth. Solid arm action and run with change at 75-76 mph.
Matt Smith, OF/LHP, Fredericktown HS, Class of 2013
Strong, stocky prospect with potential two-way abilities. Reached a top velocity of 82 mph from the outfield. Makes solid contact as hitter with good lower body action. Line drive bat with power to the gaps. Low hand trigger suggests occasional bat drag into zone. Has future power potential with maturity. On the mound, he shows a repeatable delivery with front side inward kick. Gets backside arm extension with finish & hip pop. Projects as a reliever. Displays good arm action on all pitches through moderate 3/4 slot. Fastball is an easy 84-87 mph (topped 88 mph in HS tourney) with very nice 75-78 mph slider. Threw one changeup at 77 mph with good arm speed.

Big body with physical presence. Shows some deception in delivery Tendency to “spring” in middle of delivery. Gets moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 arm slot. Gets occasional cut action on 82-84 mph fastball. Shows some feel on downward spinning curve (67-69 mph).
Patrick McAlpine, IF, Moeller HS, Class of 2013
Athletic player. Registered a 7.18 60 yard-dash. Defensively, likely projects as a second basemen at the next level with 76 mph across the diamond. Uses an open stance. Squares the front side with shoulder trigger. Has good lower body torque with bat finish. Needs to improve his load. Tends to flatten his hands in trigger which causes a flat plane path.
Paul Trick, IF, Olentangy Orange HS, Class of 2013
Big, lanky body with future physical projection. Excellent baseball sense. Has good defensive attributes but is more third base or second base type. Registered a 7.2 60-yard dash time with solid arm strength (78 mph) across the diamond. Has upright power stance with bend in back knee. Shows good hand trigger, quick into hitting zone with long finish.
Shawn Reid, RHP/OF, Amherst Steele HS, Class of 2013
Solid, athletic build with 7.34 60-yard speed. Projects as a pitcher at the next level, but also shows some potential as a corner outfielder type. Reached a top velocity of 83 mph from the outfield. Makes contact as a hitter, but needs to enhance lower body torque and trigger load with hands. On the mound, he shows some deception in delivery. Uses inward turn with front side kick. Throws from upper 3/4 arm slot. Aggressive fastball has some arm side run, ranging 84-86 mph. Shows good downward spin on curve ball (73-74 mph) but lacked consistent command. Changeup was straight and sat at 74 mph. Needs to keep developing off-speed pitches.
