Top 20 Profiles of 2020: No. 9 Harold Coll
December 22, 2020
The countdown of the top-20 most viewed profiles of 2020 rolls on. Sliding in at No. 9 is San Jac SS Harold Coll (Georgia Premier, 2020). Coll spent most of his prep career in Massachusetts before making a move to Georgia Premier Academy for his senior year of high school. He is currently the No. 6 ranked JUCO prospect in the country.
The dynamic shortstop was a member of Team Massachusetts at the 2018 PBR Future Games and participated in the 2020 Super 60 Pro Showcase. Coll tied the event record at the Super 60 for infield velocity, lighting the gun up at 97 mph. Even more impressive was Coll's "wow" moment at the event. He charged a slow roller at full speed, without losing a step, fielded the ball, made the transfer between his legs and let it go across the infield.

5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. Continues to flash above average defensive skills, throwing 91 mph across the diamond with an easy arm action. The foot work is solid and he moves laterally well. The ability to stay at shortstop is present. The foot speed is 7.05 and will hover around the 7.0 mark as he makes his way through college. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 92. The set up is wide in base, uses a knee to knee approach as the ball enters the hitting zone. The hands are clean and fluid through contact, gap to gap guy at the present time.

5-foot-9, 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. The best 2020 defender I have seen in awhile. The glove and prep to and through the ball are advanced. Handles the pivot and can make the slow roller play. Threw 81 across the infield out of a short path and showed good accuracy. Defense is a no brainer for this guy. Ran a 4.3 down the line from the right-side. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 88 mph. Sets up with his feet even, and front foot slightly open. The hands are extremely quick and he maneuvers the barrel. The path is up a over a bit , as he gets to his front foot too soon but he showed the ability to consistently get the barrel there. Big time player from what I saw, should be able to play anywhere in the country defensively. Had two hits in the game.

2020 Super 60
Since standing out at the 2018 Future Games, Coll has added significant strength to his frame and moved from Massachusetts to Georgia. The strength gains showed in Chicago, where he blistered baseballs in batting practice, averaging a 94 mph exit velocity and topping out at 100.6, while keeping his swing compact and simple. He ran a 6.81-second 60-yard dash and tied an event record by throwing 97 across the infield. His athletic actions stood out on defense, where he charged a ball and made an exchange between his legs while on the move. He is committed to North Carolina.
