As we approach the end of 2021, we're taking account of the PBR Washington player profile pages to determine the players in our backyard whose profiles earned the most attention throughout the year. We're counting down the top-10 profiles in the state that received the most views, starting at 10 and on, concluding our countdown on New Year's Day by revealing the most-viewed profile of the year.

The second most viewed profile in Washington this year was 3B Xavier Neyens (Mount Vernon). The 6-foot-2, 180-pound left-handed hitter has an impressive all-around profile for his age and we saw him display that advanced talent at the Upperclass Fall Showcase this October. Neyens was the lone underclassman to attend that event and he put on a show, leading all hitters in max exit velocity (98.1 mph), average exit velocity (91.6 mph), and peak batted distance (377 ft.). His strength clearly translates to his arm, as Neyens reached an 86 mph high across the infield and off the mound with his fastball on that same day. Our staff recently released our initial Class of 2025 national rankings, where Neyens debuted at 13th overall and as the top prospect in Washington. Here’s a quick nugget on him from that initial release:

“A former Junior Future Games standout and current Oregon State recruit, Neyens has emerged as one of the top overall players in the 2025 class. His frame has matured to a 6-foot-2, 180-pound stature with a wide upper half and the chance to carry more weight in the future. An advanced hitter from the left-side. Neyens has shown consistent feel for the barrel and has recently started to tap into additional power as well. The swing is free and easy with whippy action into contact. He impacts the ball with consistent leverage and gets added loft with a slightly uphill finish. Defensively, he's handled both the left side of the infield and catching duties. The actions fit well at both spots and he shouldn't have an issue finding a permanent home at either. The arm strength also plays on the mound where he's recently been up to 86 mph with his fastball. Overall, Neyens possesses one of the most potent left-handed bats in the class and the physical maturation throughout high school will help determine his ultimate landing spot on the diamond.”
