Report 10/23/16: 6-foot-4, 195 pounds with a tall, lean, loose, athletic, and projectable body. In the field he has soft hands, plenty of range, and plus arm strength. He features the frame and tools to stay at shortstop at the next level. At the plate he has a wide setup and a simple swing with a good path that stays in the zone for a long time. He creates above average bat speed with leverage along with an above average feel for the barrel. As he continues to grow and fill out, the present power will turn into above average power. Look for Vientos to be watched closely this spring as we near the 2017 Draft.
