No. 4 Jeremy Arocho
The top ranked player in the 2017 class PBR Maryland rankings, Arocho spent this 2015 confirming that he had the potential to be a special player. The switch-hitting shortstop showed off his ability from the beginning with Old Mill HS, quickly becoming one of the top defensive players in the state and also showing offensive ability. Over the summer he continued to impress playing with the Evoshield Canes and made his commitment to University of Maryland. By August he had taken the top spot in the 2017 class rankings after starting out at No. 5.
Arocho heads up a talented class of 2017 for Maryland and is currently ranked No. 51 in the PBR Overall rankings. The toughest position to transition to from high school to next level is at shortstop and Arocho shows that he will be able play there at the college level and potentially at the pro level. He should be one to follow in two years for the 2017 MLB draft.
