Josh Threlkeld Joins PBR Minnesota.

Prep Baseball Report Minnesota is extremely pleased to announce the inclusion of Josh Threlkeld. Threlkeld is an excellent addition to the Prep Baseball Report MN team; his work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to evaluate players is highly regarded in baseball circles.
Hailing from Burnsville, MN; Threlkeld was an All-Conference performer for the Blaze. After high school; Threlkeld started for four years at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Upon finishing his playing career Josh served as the volunteer assistant for the Bulldogs under Head Coach Bob Rients. While student teaching to finish off his education degree, Josh served as a volunteer assistant in the Chanhassen High School program. During the summer months from 2008-2012 Josh served as the hitting coach for the Burnsville Legion team which made State Tournament appearances in three of his five seasons, Including a third place finish in 2012. In 2013 he served as the head coach of the Burnsville Rattlers Junior Legion team and shifted in 2014 as the head coach for the Prior Lake Legion team. Josh has coached many players that have gone on to play college baseball at schools such as the University of Minnesota, University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, Minnesota State-Mankato, University of Nebraska Omaha, Wichita State University, Truman State, and Minnesota-Duluth.
From 2012-2014 Josh was the Graduate Assistant with the Minnesota State University-Mankato Mavericks. Josh worked with the outfielders and hitters. His time with the Mavericks was highlighted by a conference tournament championship in 2013, a regular season championship in 2014, and regional tournament championships in 2013 and 2014. All of this capped off by finishing as national runner-ups in 2013 and third place in 2014. During his two seasons he saw one outfielder named all-conference, one receive conference tournament all-tournament team honors, three receive all-region tournament team honors, and one named to the all-world series team.
He also served as the assistant coach at Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, IA for the 2014-2015 season overseeing both the offense and defense.
Currently, Josh lives in Savage, MN with his fiance Erin. He is entering his third year as a Social Studies teacher at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School working with students grade 8-12.
Josh has served as an associate with PBR for the past three years assisting with events, performing evaluations, and creating write ups, among other tasks.
