The National Letter of Intent: 2018-2019 Edition
November 13, 2018
The middle of November brings a big day for many baseball players in their senior year. This week, beginning on Wednesday November 14th, players can sign their National Letter of Intent (NLI). As we are publishing this, well over 4,000 players have committed within the PBR database and many of those players will sign with their school this week.
This time of year also brings about a lot of questions as players and families are working to read through their scholarship letters and their NLI packet. We also get a lot of questions from players that may not sign early, as they work to figure out their chances to continue their playing career.
Instead of answering some of the questions that have been sent in, and that I have received while have been on the road evaluating, I thought I would re-post one of our most read articles from the last year in Recruiting Essentials. Below is a look back at an article published one year ago. The dates for the NLI are for the 2018 graduating class, and we have updated one big change ahead of the article that applies to the 2019 class.
We wish the best of luck to all the athletes signing this week. We also know that more than half of the college baseball players in the 2019 class that will commit, have yet to commit. There is still time to find the right fit and next year at this time, as all of the 2019 graduates are finishing their 1st semester of school and readying themselves for their first college spring season, no one will care when you signed… Everything will be decided by your performance.
One Important Change
