The draft is inching closer and closer with the festivities now just eight days away. Before it kicks off, we’ll bring you an updated National Top 50 as well as a preview of what to watch for from the PBR coverage area. In the meantime, here is a look at several players that improved their stock this spring:
Spencer Adams, RHP, White County HS, GA
Pitching is unquestionably the strength of this year’s draft class and several pitchers have seen a jump in velocity since last summer. Adams is at or near the front of that group. He’s thin, but still has a projectable frame. He pitched at 89-91 at the Metropolitan Baseball Classic and now consistently sits 90-94, touching higher, with a mid-80s slider that he does a good job of staying on top of. His changeup is fringy, but has a chance to be an average pitch down the road. He is committed to Georgia.
