PITCHERS

Jeb Drewery LHP / OF / Hallsville, TX / 2021

East Texas is renowned for having competitive players, and 2021 LHP Jeb Drewery (Hallsville HS) fits that same mold. He changes his delivery to keep hitters off balance with a distinct hesitation in his leg lift. The left-hander made quick work of his inning with an 80-83 mph fastball. Really good feel for curveball in - and out of the zone at 70-74 with 2/8 shape and finish.

Tyson Neighbors RHP / OF / Community , TX / 2021

Alec Grossman RHP / SS / Lake Travis, TX / 2021

Grossman is listed at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds with a quick twitch, athletic frame. Started the day with the fastes 60-yard dash time of the event at 6.74-seconds. The right-hander works from a ¾ slot and will occasionally drop a tick lower just to mess with the hitter. His fastball has good arm side sink, topping out at 88 mph, and pitching at 82-86 mph. Shows good feel for his curveball at 73 mph, and he can spin it from both slots.

Cohen Feser RHP / 2B / Ronald Reagan, TX / 2021

A young, wiry frame at 6-foot, 145-pounds. With coiled hips at the top of his delivery, he gets down the mound with a short stride, landing slightly across his body. The arm works well from a high-¾ slot with a medium circle. Fastball topped out at 84 a couple of times with late life, and he spun a big bender curveball at 67-69 mph.The breaking ball showed signes of sharper action, and late snap, which points to potential for a plus pitch with the addition of strength on his body and some length in his stride. Very intriguing arm to watch.

Zachary Cawyer SS / RHP / Nolan Catholic, TX / 2021

Oozes projection and upside with his 6-foot-2, 167-pound frame, high waist and long limbs. He took a really quality round of BP, posted an 89 mph exit velo, plays with his hands out front which is a plus for a player of his size and age. On the mound, he was 85-86, 87T, and threw a deep breaking 65-67 mph curveball.

Trenton Chenard RHP / OF / Weimar, TX / 2021

Griffin Binkley RHP / 3B / Mansfield Legacy, TX / 2021

A ton of twitchy athleticism in his 6-foot-1 165-pound frame  that translated to the mound. Deliberate arm swing, shows control to slot, ball jumps out of his hand. Fastball was 85-87 mph and he flashed a sharp slider at 70-73 mph. Showed 12/6 shape curveball at 69-71 and changeup at 67-69. Ran a nice 7.03 60-yard dash before a good round of BP from the right side, really nice swing with good extension. 87 mph exit velocity off of tee. Good actions in the field as well, accurate arm with 81 mph.

Delbert Quint Graves RHP / Hudson, TX / 2021

Tyler Schott LHP / OF / Marcus, TX / 2021

At 6-foot, 185-pounds, Schott is a confident two-way player. On the mound, the left-hander works from a low-¾ slot with a quick arm swing. His fastball was 81-84 with arm side run, and he spins his breaking ball at 67-70 mph with 2/8 shape and more lateral break. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Schott has simple rhythm with a balanced leg kick and repeats an aggressive hack with relative ease and a loose finish. Barreled it up during BP, posting an exit velocity of 91 mph with gap power and more to come. In the outfield, he plays through the ball with relaxed rhythm, smooth footwork and clean exchange to throw with a top velocity of 81 mph.

INFIELDERS

Will Allen SS / 3B / Houston Christian, TX / 2021

Has long levers and a super-projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds. Launch-fest during BP with multiple homers and a top exit velocity of 101. There is plenty of arm strength across the infield (87 mph) to think Allen will stay on the left side at the next level.

Luke Heefner SS / 3B / Home School, TX / 2021

Anthony Silva SS / 3B / Clark, TX / 2022

Caedmon Parker RHP / SS / The Woodlands Christian, TX / 2021

Drew Messick 3B / OF / Jesuit College Prep, TX / 2021

Daylan Pena 1B / 3B / Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, TX / 2021

Pena hails from a talented Veterans Memorial HS team down in Corpus Christi that made a run to the UIL State Semi-Finals last season. He started on that club and for folks that follow Corpus Baseball, they have two of the biggest power bats in the state on one team. Pena posted an exit velocity of 95 mph and the ballpark went silent during his BP as he hammered balls to the pullside with light-tower power, including two home runs. Didn’t have much to show for it during the game, but he did make some really good passes on a couple of balls that he just missed and popped up.

OUTFIELDERS

Tyson Luna OF / LHP / St. Johns, TX / 2021

Max Belyeu OF / RHP / Conroe, TX / 2022

CATCHERS

Christopher Bernal C / 3B / McAllen, TX / 2021

Bernal has an aggressive mentaility to got with strong tools that project well to the next level. The right-handed hitter posted an exit velocity of 97 mph with explosive bat speed. Starting from a tall stance, he uses a low-hanging leg kick to stride forward as he walks away from his hands, landing with good separation. Twitchy hands produce strength at contact with carry through the gaps. Behind the plate, he has an ultra-fast exchange and soft hands to go with a top velocity from the crouch of 75 mph and pop times of 1.9-2.09. Commanded the field during the game shows athletic footwork on blocks.

Gabriel Herrera C / 3B / Ronald Reagan, TX / 2021

Natural baseball actions behind the plate and on the infield. High-waisted, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, he is a long stride runner (7.16) with plenty of room to add strength in the future. The swing works with easy rhythm and loose-quick hands. We have seen him multiple times as a catcher, but after watching him take ground balls, it's not too far fetched to think he could fit in on the infield on days he doesn't catch.

Cortlan Castle C / 1B / Midway, TX / 2021

Has made a lot of jumps since we saw him over a year and half ago. At 5-11/190 he has a strong frame, posted an 89 exit velo with simple strength in BP. Threw 78 from the crouch and his pop times we extremely consistent; 1.93, 2.01, 1.93, 1.95, and 2.01.
