The 2017 season is rapidly approaching. As we get closer to season, I begin my preview of each team and stories that will affect the overall results of the high school season, and who will ultimately end their season in Baum Stadium on the campus of the University of Arkansas. We move from our coverage of the 7A Central to the 7A West and Bentonville West High School.

2017 is the inaugural season for Bentonville West High School as Bentonville School District has split into two high schools. Anything you start a new will take time to grow and develop. They have a young roster that will receive opportunities to play they may or may not have had battling for time at the now rival high school across town.

Overall

This roster, is young and will be learning on the fly. Historically that is a tough thing to do in the ultra-competitive 7A West. This year a lot of rosters will be going through a youthful movement, so it might not be as difficult as in years past. They will be the wild card in the league, without any recent history to judge how their roster will shake out.
