2017 TEAM PREVIEW: 4A Northrop Bruins

Class: 4A
2016 Record: 20-5
Conference (2016 Record): Summit Athletic Conference (14-0)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/4

2017 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Garrett Schoenle, LHP, 2017: 9-1, 1.12 ERA 112K
• Ben Keating, C, 2017: .339BA 10 2B
• Gavin Schreiber, SS, 2018

Outlook:  The Bruins come off a strong 2016 season finishing as sectional champions and 14-0 in the Summit Athletic Conference.  They will look for revenge in 2017 after losing a tough matchup to Carmel in the Regional Semi-Finals.  Northrop brings 6 bats and 4 key arms back this season.  Led by Garrett Schoenle, a Cincinnati signee, Coach Brumbaugh has high expectations for this talented group this spring.
