2017 TEAM PREVIEW: New castle trojans

2016 Record: 16-13
Conference (2016 Record):  HHC
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/3

Top Returning Players:

• Garrett Welch, OF/P, 2017 (right)
  Caleb Mathews, INF, 2017
  Jared Heard, OF/1B/P, 2017
  Mason Gillis, OF/P, 2019
  Titen Bennett, LHP, 2017 

Outlook:  The Trojans bring back some key players including Garrett Welch (USI signee) and highly touted multi-sport athlete Mason Gillis this spring. Senior leader Caleb Mathews will be an anchor in the lineup and up the middle in his 4th year as a starter.  With some depth on the mound, Jared Heard and Titen Bennett should be able to give New Castle a competitive chance in the HHC along with the sectional.
