2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Lawrence North Wildcats

2016 Record: 20-10
Conference (2016 Record): MIC - 9-5
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2/2

2017 Team Strengths:

• Pitching
• Baserunning

Top Returning Players:

• Sam Paddock, RHP, 2017: 3-2 1.11ERA
• Garrett Burhenn, RHP, 2018: 4-2 1.89ERA (right)
• Max Wills, OF, 2017: .358BA 10XBH 13SB 

Outlook: The Wildcats head into 2017 led by arms Sam Paddock (Depauw) and Garrett Burhenn (Ohio State).  Both were solid last spring and bring back more experience to lead Coach Winzenread's pitching staff.  Lawrence North graduated several starters and will need to find a way to mature throughout the year.  The Wildcats should be competitive in the MIC and sectional with their pitching depth and team speed.
