2017 TEAM PREVIEW: North Montgomery Chargers

Class: 3A
2016 Record: 24-6
Conference (2016 Record):  Sagamore - 11-3
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/3

2017 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Justin Clary, SS/P, 2018: 2 year starter, .353BA 1.46ERA
• Bryce Frederick, 1B/C, 2017: 2 year starter, .353BA
• Mitch Merica, 1B/P, 2017: 2 year starter, 6-3 2.77ERA
• Gregory Pietsch, C/OF, 2017

Outlook: Coach Merica looks to build off of last year's success with a 24-6 record (11-3 in conference).  North Montgomery graduated 4 starters last year, but brings back a majority of the pitching staff and some experience defensively.  After falling short to Frankfort 5-4 last year, the Chargers plan to make another playoff run under Coach Merica.
